Swizz Beatz is a half African America and half Pureto Rican producer and rapper who currently resides in New York City. Born in 1978 the musician founded record label Full Surface and has produced for most urban artists including Jay-Z, Cassidy, Beyonce Knowles, Eve and Young Jeezy,
Swizz (Kasseem Mike Dean) went on to release his first solo album in October 2007, titled One Man Band. This went on to sell under 50,000 in its first week. Making it a flop in the music industry.
As a record producer he’s helped to push labels such as Ruff Ryders and Rocafella Records into the main spotlight however, making him a highly paid producer.
Swizz is currently working on his new album Life After The Party, which is due out later this year. His first single from it has been leaked however and is gaining airplay everywhere. He’s also announced that Mary J Blige, Cassidy, Eve and the whole Full Surface label will feature on it.
Life After The Party is set to be released in October 2008.
