Dr Dre Bumps 50 Cent Back

West Coast rapper and producer Dr Dre has pushed his album back, with the first single being released in November and then the album dropping in December. This is being alongside a heavy marketing campaign promoting both the album and his Aftermath Cognac.

Meanwhile East Coast rapper and NY businessman 50 Cent, Curtis Jackson, was planning on releasing his album in December. This would cause problems however…. basically with both rappers being under the Interscope Umbrella, the label isn’t wanting it to happen.

Dre mentored 50, and hasn’t released an album since 1999, therefore The Detox is going to be a big deal. With much of Interscope’s resources being spent on promotion and marketing. Leaving 50 at a disadvantage and out of the spotlight.

So what’s 50 to do? He was wanting to release in December, the same month as Kanye’s album, and have another confrontation with young Mr West. One year after loosing his last one. However Interscope are saying no to this.

We’re going to have to wait till closer to the time, regarding this story, and what’s actually going to happen but I think one thing is fair to say. It’s going to be a great winter season. We’ve got T.I, Eminem, Kanye, Jay-Z and Dr Dre all to release albums! I for one, feel spoilt.
